Mounting Cover Plate

Product Overview

This product exemplifies our precision machining capabilities, specifically designed for rotor sealing in medical laboratory centrifuges, enclosure closure in semiconductor rotary indexing equipment, and protective faces for tray assemblies.

We are not a supplier of standard off‑the‑shelf products, but a service provider specializing in non‑standard metal parts manufacturing. With your drawings or samples, we manage the entire process—from material selection, process planning, inspection, to surface finishing. We excel particularly in machining thin‑wall circular flange cover plates with precision‑indexed peripheral notches and large central bores, while strictly ensuring flatness, hole‑position accuracy, and absolute concentricity with the equipment spindle.

Machining Capabilities

Item Description
Material Default: 6061‑T6 aluminum alloy – offering excellent machinability and light weight. Alternatives available upon request: 7075 ultra‑high‑strength aluminum alloy, or 304/316L stainless steel, etc.
Inspection Equipment Equipped with Zeiss CMM (accuracy: 1.5 μm + L/350), Renishaw comparator, Mitutoyo roughness tester, and digital hardness tester. All critical dimensions are 100% inspected or rigorously sampled with precision instruments, ensuring full traceability.
Machining Process High‑precision CNC vertical/horizontal machining center or mill‑turn composite with one‑piece forming. For large‑diameter thin plates, optimized cutting paths and clamping strategies are employed to effectively suppress deformation during extensive machining; peripheral anti‑rotation notches and special‑shaped relief slots are accurately indexed; the large center bore and mounting counterbores are precisely milled via coordinated motion.
Dimensional Accuracy Concentricity between the large center bore and peripheral mounting hole patterns: strictly controlled within ≤ 0.02 mm; indexing error of peripheral notches ≤ ±0.02 mm; overall flatness of the large cover plate tightly controlled to ensure a perfect fit with the base plate when closed. Tighter tolerances can be accommodated per your drawings, with full dimension reports provided upon request.
Surface Finish Mechanical finishes such as tool‑mark removal and brushing are offered, resulting in smooth, scratch‑free surfaces with uniform texture—presenting a refined matte or brushed appearance that meets the clean‑surface aesthetic standards for medical/semiconductor equipment. For specialized treatments like anodizing or hard coating, you may arrange them locally, or we can coordinate subcontracting (lead time and cost quoted separately).
Quality Consistency Strict first‑article full inspection + in‑process periodic sampling + last‑article comparison protocol; critical dimensions managed via SPC. Shipments include dimensional inspection reports, with clear batch traceability back to material heat/lot numbers and machining dates.
Lead Time Samples: 15–30 working days;Small batches (≤10 pcs): 30–45 working days;Medium/large volumes or complex surface treatments: quoted separately.Rush services available.

Customization Services

We excel in customizing circular housing panels, centrifuge top covers, flange closure plates, and special‑shaped adapter plates per your drawings or actual samples. For this type of cover plate, we support:

1. Edge notches and anti‑rotation features – custom numbers, angular positions, and shapes (U‑shaped, V‑shaped, or rectangular) of peripheral notches to suit centrifuge rotors or chassis mounting requirements.

2. Fine surface finishing – we are particularly skilled in providing fine brushing or satin finishing to meet the stringent cosmetic requirements of medical devices.

3. Non‑standard hole layouts – flexible arrangements of counterbores, through‑holes, threaded holes, and stepped holes on the disc surface.

4. Center opening dimensions – custom center bore sizes and fit tolerances (e.g., hole‑basis H7) to match spindle or bearing housing outer diameters.

5. From programming, machining, and inspection to surface finishing – we offer a one‑stop precision manufacturing service.

Important Notes

Product Scope: We provide metal centrifuge top cover plate machining services only; the product does not include screws, spindles, bearings, seals, or other purchased components.

Surface Finish: If you require specific post‑treatments such as sandblasting, brushing, or anodizing, please specify in detail during your inquiry so we can assess feasibility and provide accurate lead time and pricing.

Custom Order Requirements: To ensure perfect closure fit and concentricity between upper and lower covers, please provide detailed drawings or 3D models before ordering, and clearly specify center bore tolerances, relative angular positions of peripheral notches, and overall flatness requirements.
